Redifun Simulation Inc. (RSI) is based in Euless, Texas, and has been incorporated for 10 years. RSI is a small business specializing in Visual Systems for both commercial and military full flight simulators. RSI employs engineers with a diversified skill set that average over twenty years experiences each in the Visual Simulation field. Mechanical, electrical, software, database engineering, and program management, encompass RSI’s capabilities. Because of this diversified skill set and experience, RSI is able to provide a unique insight as to what is required to cost effectively update and integrate flight simulator visual systems.
RSI manufactures PC based visual systems for the commercial flight-training environment. RSI was the first PC/IG manufacturer to receive Certification by the FAA using raster light-points with non-proprietary hardware and projectors. RSI has delivered over 50 Visual Systems in the past 7 years, achieving FAA, CAA or JAA certifications on all delivered systems. RSI’s visual systems have been used on simulators worldwide both upgrading older visual systems and installations on new full flight simulators.
RSI was the first, and to date the only, visual system manufacturer to utilize 100% commercial off the shelf (COTS) hardware for its “RASTER” product line of PC-Image Generators. This Image Generator also incorporates “raster only” technology, and is the first non-calligraphic system be certified to a Level “D” standards worldwide.
RSI was the first visual system supplier to adapt commercial - off the shelf - LCoS Projectors for commercial flight simulation, and was the first to receive regulatory certification using commercial LCoS projectors.
RSI was the first visual system supplier to offer a "Front Projected" Collimated Optical system for Level D certification to the JAA. The visual system received Level D certification May 30, 2007.
RSI is the first Visual System supplier to provide Geo-Specific Satellite Imagery @ 15 meter resolution of the entire world as an integrated component of the “RASTER XT” series of Image Generators.
