Craig Phillips, RSI\'s Chief Technology Officer, received the Edward A. Link Award at this years Flight Simulation and Engineering Conference (FSEMC), held in Cairo, Egypt.
The FSEMC is pleased to honor Edwin A Link by selecting one individual, each year, for significant contribution in flight simulator support. Craig\'s contribution stems from his development of visual system real-time software that allows the use of low cost commercial off the shelf LCoS projectors on full flight simulators - replacing expensive calligraphic projectors.
Craig\'s visual system software also allows the use of 100% \"off the shelf\" PC assemblies in the Image Generator. RSI\'s RASTER NX1 was the first PC Image Generator to be certified by the FAA for pilot training.
